Jean-Marie 'JC' Carroll is an English songwriter, singer, multi instrumentalist film composer, luthier (maker of stringed instruments) and author. As a member of (Camberley legendary post punk group) The Members he was a leading figure in the punk rock explosion in the late 70’s . He appeared on Top of The Pops several times, has sung with Sinead O'Connor and even ran his own fashion clothes shops, The Dispensary, in Soho and Notting Hill. In 2008 he reformed The Members and took his iconic song “The Sound of the Suburbs” and the band back around the world. He lives in West Byfleet where he makes guitars in his shed. He has composed music for many feature films including the recently finished Shane McGowan Biopic. “Croc of Gold”
JC will be in conversation with our Venue Manager, Andy Edmeads and will also be singing live. He last performed at Camberley Theatre, when it was still the Civic Hall in 1979!
