Musical Director for Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime

Camberley Theatre is looking for a talented and dedicated Musical Director to join their established and successful production team for their upcoming in-house production of Jack and the Beanstalk.

This will performed from 7th – 31st December 2020 with 2 weeks rehearsal from 23rd November 2020. All rehearsals will take place at Camberley Theatre.

Last year, Robin Hood became the venues most successful pantomime, breaking box office records and earning the venue 3 GB Panto Award nominations. This year we want to do even better!

The ideal candidate should have Pantomime experience and the role of the MD will be expected to;

  • Create all tracks for the production and ready these at agreed dates.
  • Work with the sound engineer to source sound effects for the production
  • Attend all rehearsals and teach the cast (including juveniles) the numbers. This includes creating scores for cast to follow
  • Perform all performance dates and lead the accompanying percussionist.

The total fee for this contract is £4,000. A payment plan will be agreed with the successful person to agree payment dates at certain points of the project.

Casual Front of House Staff

Camberley Theatre are looking for casual Front of House staff to join our friendly and enthusiastic team.

You should be available for weekend and evening work and be hard-working, friendly, passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

Duties include (but not limited to) bar work, stewarding shows and events, ticket sales at the Box Office, dealing with customer queries and event set up.

Rate of pay is £8.25 per hour and benefits include free parking, bar discount, and free/discounted tickets to shows and events.

Every year we offer week long work placements for students in Year 10 and above. These can be to work with our Marketing, Box Office, Front of House or Technical teams.

Are you a qualified theatre technician?

We are looking for qualified technicians to join our casual tech team. You should have theatre experience and be an ‘all rounder’ with the ability to operate sound, lights and manage a stage. 

Hourly rate: £8.40 - £12
