Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is a bold, joyful stage musical about identity, courage, and the thrill of becoming who you are meant to be.
Jamie New is 16 and lives on a council estate in Sheffield. He doesn’t quite fit in at school, and while others seem to have their futures planned, Jamie is terrified about what lies ahead. Yet deep down, he knows one thing for sure: Jamie is going to be a sensation.
As he begins to imagine a life beyond expectations and labels, Jamie faces prejudice, bullying, and the pressure to conform. With the unwavering support of his brilliant, loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie finds the strength to believe in himself. Step by step, he overcomes discrimination, beats the bullies, and learns to embrace his individuality.
Sixteen is the edge of possibility—the moment when fear and hope collide. As Jamie steps out of the darkness and into the spotlight, the musical celebrates self-expression, acceptance, and the courage it takes to make your dreams come true.
